London, Ontario, Wednesday, December 4, 2024: Do you prefer Caps or Corks? Are you a Zinfandel with Salt and Vinegar Chips, or is English Brown Ale with Cave Aged Gouda more to your liking?
The 2025 London Wine and Food Show has some stirring new experiences, entertainment, and educational offerings, amongst a sweet variety of food and beverage sampling booths. This year, Western Fair District is excited to bring an expanded selection of wines, with more than 70 exhibitors, over 150 wines, spirits, beers and ciders!
NEW - Caps Vs Corks Pairing Lounge
Are you Team Wine or Team Beer? As culinary staff work behind the scenes, a sommelier for Team Wine and a Cicerone for Team Beer will be at the heart of a new feature; The Caps Vs Corks Pairing Lounge, designed to be an interactive new food and beverage experience showcasing a head-to-head battle between beer and wine for supremacy. Who will win? London Wine and Food Show Manager Craig Goyetche says, “our goal is to open everyone’s mind with this new wine vs beer pairing lounge at this year’s show.”
The feature is designed to be casual as part of the show's sampling experience and will be hosted by renowned Cicerone Stephen Rich and guest wine sommelier. Experts located at the centre of the Caps Vs Cork Pairing Lounge will be pouring, serving, and introducing their flavours to guests who sit and sample small plates with a side of beer or wine. As you sample and savour each duo, you can vote with either a cap or a cork…it is that fun and that simple. Pairings require sample tickets to enjoy the experience.
Sing for Your Sample – Karaoke Lounge
Whether you are a shy shower singer, a karaoke king, or a Celine wannabe - the Sing for Your Sample Karaoke Lounge at the London Wine and Food Show is all about having fun and savouring a few free samples for a song! Whether you hit the high notes or not, you can sing for special sample tickets, good to try out select food offerings at supporting booths. (No alcohol sample tickets.)
Pair Live Music with Food & Drink Samples
Dueling Pianos
Go Note for Note with a Musical Battle – Featuring Dueling Pianos of Niagara! This high-energy show is the perfect Friday feature to pair with your food and drink sample. Taking crowd requests, two pianists will battle it out while playing your favourite songs.
London Men of Accord
This male chorus have been singing acapella four-part harmony in London and the surrounding area for over 75 years! London Men of Accord will take the stage Saturday Afternoon with their choir group.
Juice Joint
Saturday Night will feature London-locals JUICE JOINT – a seven-piece jazz-fusion and hip-hop band, featuring Amanda Movio. Let their music delight your senses as you sip and savour your way throughout the show.
Culinary Stage
Be sure to visit the Culinary Stage, where food and fun come together! This vibrant stage will feature live cooking demonstrations, offering you a front-row seat as culinary experts prepare creamy, rich, smokey, tart, salty and sweet tastes.
Become the host with the most; learn pro tips and techniques to elevate your home cooking and learn how to craft the perfect homemade cocktail from expert mixologists. Plus, enjoy interactive sessions where you can ask questions and participate in tastings!
Amateur Winemaking Studio
Looking for a new hobby this winter, the Amateur Winemakers of Canada (AWC), is a national body for provincial amateur winemaking organizations, and their provincial member organization for Ontario (AWO) will have its London club join the 2025 London Wine and Food Show to promote the hobby of winemaking, and educate attendees interested in making wine at home.
